Hitman GO Update: Eight New Levels Inspired From Silent Assassin Added To Mobile Game Of The Year Contender

GotY Contender Hitman GO Gets Eight New Levels Inspired From Classic Entry 'Silent Assassin' And Goes On Sale For Limited Time

One of the best games released on any platform this year is Square Enix Montreal's brilliant take on the Hitman universe: Hitman GO. The mobile puzzler is both easy to pick up and extremely challenging, and is still vexing us. Now, eight new levels have been added to further challenge our thinking skills, and we are all for it.

Boom Beach Update Goes Live Like The Normandy Invasion

The new levels are inspired by the classic Hitman level: St. Petersburg Stakeout, from Hitman 2: Silent Assassin. The addition brings the total level count to 91.

It should be noted that I am heavily biased in favor of this game. The reason? Oh, no reason, really...

Players can access the new levels in two different ways; either by completing a set number of mission-based objectives, or by purchasing the update for $0.99 via the App Store and Google Play. The St. Petersburg update will also include the option to activate cloud-saving functionality, which makes it possible for players to sync completed levels between devices. Hallelujah!

And if you have not gotten in on the Hitman GO train, now is your chance. The game is available for $1.99 for a very limited time only.

Fans who prefer a more, um...bloody approach, don't worry, Square Enix Montreal has not forsaken you. We managed to get our hands on the upcoming Hitman: Sniper recently, a new mobile execution game and had a blast. The same team behind GO has created a sniper game that plays more like a game of chess, or GO, for that matter; it values accuracy, strategy and long term planning above body counts. Sniper will be released later this year.

Hitman GO has been nominated for a Golden Joystick award, which puts it in good company alongside the other great puzzler of the year, Monument Valley, as well as Hearthstone and Double Fine's Broken Age. The winners will be announced tomorrow via Twitch!

It really is a good time to be a mobile gamer, and any fan of the platform owes it to themselves to pick up Hitman GO.
