The New Project CARS Halloween Trailer Is The Why You Should Never Drive At Night

Why Shouldn't You Go Fast At Night? Let Project CARS's Halloween Trailer Count The Ways

The Green Hell hath officially arrived, in the form of the full length trailer for Project CARS. The Slightly Mad Studios racing sim, which has sadly been pushed back to next year, is getting in the Halloween spirit with its latest video, a perilous journey along the tracks at night.

I am terrible at night driving. The glare, the darkness, everything. And that's on sparsely populated roads. I cannot fathom going hundreds of miles per hour while navigating hairpin turns while jockeying for position against opponents are attempting the same. To me, that is true terror and is very much in keeping with the seasonal spirit.

Of course, everything gets even scarier and far more treacherous in the rain. Is it wrong that I am most looking forward to how the game will handle car crashes?

Project CARS Delayed Until 2015

The in-game engine is fantastic at evoking a particular kind of doom and gloom. This game is going to be very, very pretty, even if you buy it on the criminally underpowered (and underappreciated) Wii U next November.

Next-gen peasants, of course, can get the game in March after having their hearts ripped out by the massive delay of the title. This came after the game was even pushed up a few days because we all thought the world was a just and noble place.

The waiting can make it all so unbearable, but Project CARS will race into our lives before we know it. The Green Hell will wait, can you? Watch the trailer below. You have to hand it to the team- 'Scary Nightime Racing' is just a great, very on the point title.
