Apple Watch News: Swiss Watchmaker Opens Indiegogo Campaign For Manufacturing Accessories For Apple's Wearable

A Swiss Watchmaker Has Already Started Creating Its Own Line Of Accessories For The Apple Watch

The Apple Watch is still months away from release, but that doesn't mean that you can't start planning how you'll make yours stand out when you finally get your hands on one. Swiss watchmaker DWISS has already put out a crowdfunding campaign for its line of Apple Watch accessories, from watch faces to colorful covers and straps.

The company's Indiegogo campaign (found over at 9to5Mac), started at the beginning of the month and aims to create a new line of accessories for the upcoming Apple Watch to make the device even more customizable. Apple has already announced several different models of the Apple Watch and many kinds of strap that users can attach to any of them. With even more straps and cases added into the mix, the possibilities for personalizing your Apple Watch significantly increase.

The DWISS line of Apple Watch accessories focuses on three different areas: custom watch faces to serve as the wearable's home screen, covers to protect the watch's edges and straps to give the watch a distinctive look and feel. The covers are all made of colorful plastic and are meant to complement the equally colorful silicon straps. For a more understated or classic look, users can also consider losing the cover and looking at one of the collection's leather or stainless steel straps.

The campaign basically treats backer perks as preorders for the accessories. Different tiers will entitle backers to one of the displayed cases or straps, alongside a collection of the custom watch faces. The campaign lasts until the beginning of December.
