Halo: The Master Chief Collection hype is in full swing as the title is set to release in just a couple weeks, and a new Halo 2 Anniversary trailer has arrived to get fans even more excited.

That title that did, as the trailer claims, help define online multiplayer and a generation of gaming is back in remastered HD glory in The Master Chief Collection. The trailer reflects the impressive visual changes with its cinematics, and will no doubt bring memories flooding back to the series' legion of fans.

The developers today showed off Halo 2 Anniversary's matchmaking system, which will reintroduced the skill-based ranks of the past. This makes a huge difference when playing online, and really does separate the very best players from the rest--Halo 4's system simply awarded higher levels the more you played.
