GTA 5 Soundtrack Release Announced For CD And Vinyl In Honor Of Next-Gen Version, Limited Editions Hit December

Go Old School With The GTA V Soundtrack, Now Releasing On CD And Vinyl

In two weeks, Grand Theft Auto V will be taking a technological leap forward and landing on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game's soundtrack, however, is taking things in the retro direction as it gets ready to release on both CD and vinyl records, Rockstar announced.

On December 9, the two limited edition collections will go on sale in both online and retail stores. Only 5,000 units of these soundtracks are bring produced, so move quickly if you just need to have the sounds of Los Santos blasting out of your record player.

The CD edition of the soundtrack is split into three discs to mirror the soundtrack's three volumes: Original Music, Score and Soundtrack. The CD collection also comes with artwork from the game, a poster and a unique GTA V USB drive shaped like a gold brick. The vinyl collection comes with six records – two for each volume – that are color coded in neon blue, orange and pink to help you keep track of what music is on what record. The vinyl collection also comes with a full-color booklet and exclusive lithograph poster.

Returning Players To GTA V Will Get Some Extra Goodies In Next-Gen

GTA V's soundtrack was the first in the series to include original music. Of course, the game also utilized licensed music to blare out of radio stations every time the player gets into a car. The game's original ambient score was composed by Tangerine Dream, Oh No and The Alchemist along with establish Rockstar composer Woody Jackson. The rest of the soundtrack includes songs from artists like A$AP Rocky, Bob Seger and Tyler, The Creator. The soundtrack as a whole includes 59 total tracks.

GTA V will hit the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 18. The PC version will be coming in early 2015.
