Doodle Jump's jumping-based mobile gameplay is getting the spin-off treatment with Doodle Jump DC Super Heroes, a separate game that keeps the basic game mechanics and throws in recognizable characters from the DC Comics universe, starting with Batman and his cavalcade of villains.

Doodle Jump DC Super Heroes is now free on Apple's App Store for iOS devices. Android and Amazon mobile users will have to wait until 2015 to get their hands on the app. The game is set to eventually feature several of DC's finest – including Superman, Wonder Woman and the villains that come with them – but for now, the game is all about Batman.
In the game, players tilt their screen to move Batman – or, at least, Doodle Jump's regular protagonist dressed up as Batman – and make sure he lands on platforms to keep him moving ever upward. Along the way, players can use power-ups like the Bat-Jet or Bat-Copter to speed up their ascension. Players can also shoot batarangs at enemies by tapping on the screen or swipe across to make Batman start to glide, slowing his descent.
Majora's Mask Is Coming To The 3DS
Every so often, players will face off in boss battles against some of Batman's most popular foes. The Riddler, Bane, Penguin, Mr. Freeze and, of course, the Joker will all appear in the game to give the player a hard time. The game also includes a couple of different skins for Batman himself, meaning you can play as your favorite iteration of the Dark Knight.
