Blizzcon 2014: The Live Streams To Watch This Weekend With Your Virtual Ticket - Heroes, Warcraft, Starcraft And Others

We're excited about Blizzcon, and you should be too.

5 Things We Want Announced At Blizzcon

There's still time to purchase a Virtual Ticket to the event. For about $40 you'll gain access to live streams to every developer event. If there's news to be had, it will slip there. Plus, you also gain a wealth of in-game goodies across all of Blizzard's games.

The opening ceremonies happen at 2 p.m. Eastern (11 a.m. Pacific) with announcements galore, but knowing Blizzard they will keep you wanting. The closing ceremony will also feature Metallica, so there's that as well. Purchase a ticket and stream them all here.

First Lords Of The Fallen DLC Coming This Winter

So, what'S to look forward to during the next 48 hour...blizzard? Here are the choicest bits from Friday and Saturday, broken down by game.

WARCRAFT - undoubtedly the reason why Blizzcon exists in the first place. Warcraft, both the original RTS titles and World of Warcraft are still some of the most played games to this day. If any video game can break the curse of 'video game adaptation', it's this one.

Warcraft Movie panel - Friday November 7 - 2:15 to 3:15 PST - Duncan Jones will be on hand to talk the upcoming Warcraft film. The site is saying he's bringing an "exclusive presentation packed with surprises." Expect a trailer. Please, please, let there be a trailer.

World Of Warcraft Arena Championships - WoW is serious business. Starting today, the long road to victory reaches as teams and players from all around compete in the game's final lap. The battles begin today at 11:45 PST until 5, and then all day tomorrow until 1:45 PST.

WoW Q&A - Saturday from 3:30 to 4:30 PST. The dev team knows their stuff and who knows what little tidbits could be dropped during this session?

World Of Warcraft: Looking for Group - the hour-long documentary celebrating WoW sounds like patting oneself on the back, but it's been 10 years at #1. They can peacock a little. The movie makes its premiere on Saturday at 5 p.m. PST.

DIABLO 3 - this is getting the short end of the stick, sadly. There are only two panels, but both could be filled with information.

Diablo 3: What's Next? - Friday 2:15 to 3:15 PST - The dev team talks about all new things coming to the world of Sanctuary, which leads directly into...

Evolving Reaper of Souls - on Saturday, the team discusses design philosophies and even more changes arriving in Diablo. Plus, they're gonna make a pretty bad ass in-game weapon, too.

HEARTHSTONE - Blizzard's newest game is also one of their fastest growing. Already it boasts an exciting professional league, the best of whom have arrived at Blizzcon after a long and bloody road to compete in the first ever Hearthstone finals. From beginning to end, all weekend long is the tournament but there is one small piece: Hearthstone Fireside Chat that could prove interesting. At 3:30 PST today, the devs are talking 'upcoming content'.

Might we finally hear about Eye of Azshara? We can hope.

STARCRAFT - The original esport. The Starcraft II World Championship Finals will be taking place all weekend. Blizzard will take the time today at 4:30 in Hall A for their 'Starcraft II: What's Next?' panel. I can answer that question with four words: Legacy of the Void.

HEROES OF THE STORM - also known as your next addiction. Heroes of the Storm is the upcoming MOBA from Blizzard that takes characters from all of their franchises and mashes them into one battle arena. Looks like fun. The game is in exclusive alpha testing, though you can sign up for the beta. There's a huge exhibition happening, which will allow you a hands-on at the show. But there's also a small dev panel today at 3:30 PST that may provide some insights into a general idea of a release date for the game.

There's also a small tournament happening from 7 to 10 tonight that will offer all of us non-attendees a good look at the game.

But news can happen literally at any time. Blizzcon gets under way very, very soon. Tune in HERE.
