Too Lazy To Purchase Amiibos? Loot Crate Will Deliver Them To Your Door This Holiday Season; It's A Christmas Miracle!

Nintendo is partnering with nerdy delivery service Loot Crate to send amiibos to your door. No, it's not science fiction, it's science fact.

"By signing up for an "amiibo Subscription Service," subscribers will receive 10 pre-selected amiibo separated into three special Loot Crate shipments throughout the holiday season without ever having to leave their homes." Good, because I am not a fan of leaving the home for any reason, especially around the holidays.

"We are honored to be working with Nintendo - a company that our team loves and respects, and that many of us grew up with," said Chris Davis, Loot Crate's CEO. "The iconic Super Smash Bros. games have brought people together for years, and we're excited to become a part of that story in a new way through our amiibo Subscription Service."

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth New Character Trailers

Mario, Donkey Kong, Pikachu, Star Fox and Yoshi are the five characters that will be shipped out at first. The remaining five will be revealed soon!

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Mario Kart 8 and Hyrule Warriors will feature amiibo compatibility this year, with functionality for Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, Yoshi's Wooly World, Mario Party 10 and more coming in the future.

The team-up is beneficial for both companies. Nintendo brings the high visibility brand, while Loot Crate can deliver the as-yet-untested amiibos to customers, whose own natural curiosity will get them hooked. Let's face it, you're going to buy Super Smash Bros and already own Mario Kart 8. The amiibos will provide a little extra hook for you to keep playing during the long, cold winter.
