Resident Evil Revelations 2 News: The Game Could Have A Third, Unannounced Playable Character, According To ESRB Rating

Will Resident Evil Revelations 2 Include A Third, Unannounced Playable Character?

We've known for a while that Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will have players taking on the roles of Claire Redfield and Moira Burton as they navigate a mysterious island, but there could be a yet-unannounced third character that players will control, if the ESRB is to be believed.

As DualShockers reported, the ESRB rating for the game makes reference to players being able to play as "a father searching for his daughter on an island." Since one of the girls we know to be stuck on the island, Moira Burton, is the daughter of series regular Barry Burton, the obvious connection to make is that Barry will be showing up in Resident Evil: Revelations 2 to help the two girls get off the island.

So far, nothing has been confirmed or denied by Capcom.

From what we know about the gameplay, Revelations 2 will have the player switching between controlling Claire and Moira (or save time by playing co-op) as they fight through rooms of monsters in their attempt to escape the island, on which they mysteriously awoke after being abducted. Playing as Claire, players will be able to fight off enemies while Moira can attempt to blind the attackers with her flashlight.

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will be coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC sometime next year.
