The Forest Update v0.09 Adds Co-op Multiplayer With Respawn System, Chat Box, And More

Indie developers Endnight Games are at it once again, delivering another update to its current early access title The Forest.

The Forest's Consistent Updates Are Proof Of Concept For Steam Early Access

The patch this time adds multiplayer co-op, a pretty significant feature. The developers have been fantastic in consistently updating their game, fixing bugs and balancing gameplay while also introducing entirely new features like the multiplayer. Past updates have included peaceful mode, new buildings, and new mechanics alongside the many bug fixes and game tweaks.

As the patch notes for version 0.09 warn, this is the team's first pass at implementing multiplayer. As such, bugs should be expected, and the current two player limit will actually be expanded in the future.
