First Monument Valley DLC Forgotten Shores Adds 8 New Levels To 2014 iOS Game Of The Year Contender [TRAILER]

Venture To The Forgotten Shores, Monument Valley's First DLC Expansion Adding 8 New Levels For iOS Version

Ustwo's beautiful and haunting mobile title, Monument Valley had only one problem: it ended.

Space Hulk: Ascension Edition Launches On Steam Today

Thankfully, the Ustwo was very aware of that...monumental oversight and has finally released the first expansion, Forgotten Shores. The in-game purchase adds eight new levels for the forgetful princess Ida to explore and decipher.

The game is inspired from the impossible drawings of M.C. Escher; or at the very least several of the dreams from Inception. Players guide Ida through a series of monuments, each with physically impossible proportions, altering the world with levers, switches and even angles. The game is short, too short, but is precisely the soothing kind of puzzler one can fall into at the end of a long day. You will never feel frustrated with your time.

And now there are eight more levels to wander in, bringing the total count to 18. Headphones not required, but certainly recommended.

The game itself is available for iOS, Amazon and Google Play. Forgotten Shores, however, is currently only available for Apple devices. You can pick it up via in-app purchase for $1.99. This is the kind of IAP we can get behind.

Monument Valley was on the shortlist for Best Mobile game at this year's Golden Joystick Awards, but let's face it, nothing was going to compete with eventual winner Hearthstone. It will still be standing at the end of the year as one of the top titles of the year.

Watch the trailer below and be sure to pick up both Monument Valley and Forgotten Shores. You will not regret the purchase.
