Second Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare Lag Patch Hits PC And PS4, Xbox One And Last-Gen Console Patch Coming

Part 2 Of Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare's Lag Patch Comes To PC And PS4, With The Xbox One Update On The Way

A patch for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare that focuses on optimizing server connectivity and various bug fixes went live on Friday for PC and PlayStation 4 players. The patch is still on the way for those on the Xbox One or last-gen consoles.

According to the updates post on the game's forums, the promised second half of last week's Advanced Warfare patch is now live for PC and PS4. Unlike the first patch that rolled out early last week and added in a handful of player-requested additions, Friday's patch looks to be all about decreasing the lag that many players have been reporting since the game's launch two weeks ago. Of course, the developers at Sledgehammer Games also throw in some miscellaneous bug fixes for good measure.

According to the post, Xbox One players are still waiting for this second half of the lag patch, but it shouldn't be too long of a delay. For whatever reason, the game's Xbox One patches seem to go live a couple of days (perhaps more because of the weekend) after the other two next-gen versions, which was also the case for the first half of the patch.

The developers haven't forgotten about PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 players, either, though their fate is much less set in stone. The post simply reads that similar patches will be rolling out to last-gen consoles "soon." All updates to the patch rollouts will be posted to that same forum page, though, so keep an eye on that page if you're an Xbox 360 or PS3 player who's eagerly waiting for a lag patch.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is now available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
