Black Ops 2 'taking some risks' Trailer: Zombies, Horses, Guns, and Futuristic Mechs

The "Call of Duty: Black Ops 2" trailer has been finally released, receiving the spotlight at the NBA playoffs.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has been set in the near future in 2025 and players will get to experience black operations with the next evolution of the legendary Call of Duty: Black Ops. The game is set for players who are ready to do what others are not willing to go for with stronger and better technology. The game comes with lots of robots and gadgets with a touch of reality.

"No one is going to be able to call this Black Ops 1.5...There's a lot of new stuff in this game. There's a lot of new ideas. We are going for it. We are taking some risks," said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing in an interview with USA Today.

And, coming as satisfying news to all the zombie fans, the new addition to the COD series will bring back "Zombie Mode."

Mark Lamia, the head of Treyarch, said on COD's website in an interview that the Black Ops 2 will be their "most ambitious Zombies effort ever". According to a report by CVG who had a first-hand demonstration of Black Ops 2, Treyarch will use improved multiplayer engine for zombies, handling "a co-op tally double that of Black Opts 1's".

"It's a totally different frame of mind when you sitting down to play zombies. It's you and your friends and its coop and it's blasting Zombies....Black Ops II has the most ambitious zombies that we have ever created. If you ask zombies players what they want, they want more zombies. They are going to get that, more game modes and more ways to play it," said Lamia.

Treyarch and Activision have not commented further about the new matter, and the new trailer doesn't seem to reflect any zombie modes from previous games, but the news is pleasing enough for the fans for now.

"The trailer plays heavily on the aspect of robots and gadgetry, which we're extremely excited about. Treyarch has also confirmed that there will be a Zombie Mode available in Black Ops 2, if you like getting your survival mode on," writes Gadget Helpline.

Black Ops 2 features two time periods - late 1980's and 2025. Players will play Alex Mason in the 1980's setting, in a form of a flashback, and his son David Mason in 2025. Frank Wood, who somehow survived the grenade blast in the gold game, acts as a narrator for the 1980's story in 2025, giving help to both Mason's.

A new villain, by the name of Raul Menendez, is also introduced. Menendez appears in 1980's as a soldier and a terrorist, and later in 2025, he managed to control the entire U.S. army drone to attack cities in United States and China.

The flip-flops between 1980-2025 has said to give an additive cinematic story, according to Mobile & Apps, who also commented that the gameplay has improved a lot.

Players will have choices to take up Strike Force missions, as well as choosing to be a sniper boy or an in-ground shooter in the main mission.

The game developed by Treyarch studio is a sequel to the 2010 Black Ops, the seventh installment of the Call of Duty Series. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be launched on November 13 for all platforms PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
