Minecraft's 1.8.1 patch includes an impressive list of bug fixes, which can be found over on the updates pre-release page on Mojang's website. The patch does come with a couple additions of its own, though. As examples, 1.8.1 allows players to toggle clouds between off, fancy and fast, depending on what their machine can run, and Entity Shadows can now be toggled as well. A full changelog was compiled for your perusal over on the Minecraft subreddit.

Back in September, the game's 1.8 "Bountiful Update" added a huge amount of content into the game, from the addition of rabbits to allowing sheep to drop mutton on death to the inclusion of several new types of blocks like Granite, Andesite, and Diorite.

Most recently in the game's slow but steady quest to take over all known platforms, Minecraft was ported to the PlayStation Vita shortly after next-gen console players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One got their own versions. Looking forward, Windows Phones should be next on Minecraft's hit list, as the game's Pocket Edition has been confirmed to be getting support for Microsoft's smartphone line.
