The first trailer for the upcoming Star Wars film has finally been released.

Telltale's Game Of Thrones Title Is Releasing Sooner Than You Might Have Thought

Episode VII: The Force Awakens is not set to hit until December 2015, but fans around the world got their first look at the J.J. Abrams-directed movie. You can watch the minute and a half trailer below.

It looks great visually, if not more Abrams-esque than traditional Star Wars style. This may very well bother some enthusiasts, but we can't expect it to stay the same forever with a new director, can we? There's an awesome X-Wing scene, and a debatably silly lightsaber shot. And, of course, the majestic return of the Millennium Falcon, complete with soaring Star Wars theme.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection's Matchmaking Finally Improves With New Update

Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Princess Leia will all be returning to the film, but none of them are shown (only two of the new actors, and a mystery Sith shot). It gives us plenty more questions than answers, but really, that's half the fun when the release is still a year away. There's no substitute for watching it yourself, however short and non-revealing it is as a whole, so check it out below.
