Resident Evil Revelations 2 Release Dates Announced, Barry Burton Returns To Find His Daughter [NEW SCREENS, TRAILER]

What? What Is This? Barry Burton Returns To The Latest Resident Evil!

Barry Burton is coming back to Resident Evil Revelations 2. If you have played the original Resident Evil you'd know everyone's favorite red-headed brute. Was it his stilted delivery while calling Jill "the master of unlocking" that attracted us to him? Was it his loud manly cries to Wesker? Perhaps it was watching the man wear his emotions on his sleeve as he expressed his fear that this was Chris' blood, or that Jill had been turned into a sandwich? Whatever it was, he has stuck with us, not only stealing the best lines from the game, but also our hearts.

And now, in Resident Evil Revelations 2, he returns.

We knew that his daughter Moira was appearing in the game alongside series mainstay Claire Redfield, as both of them had been kidnapped and trapped in a remote island prison. It turns out that Barry isn't taking his daughter's disappearance in stride, and is hunting her down.

He's going to have some help with the matter, however. During his search Barry meets Natalia Korda, a little girl who has a strange power that allows her to sense enemies and hidden items. As with Moira and Claire, gameplay will involve you switching between the two characters in order to navigate the island and get past various traps and enemies. Whether Korda is any good at unlocking things is to be determined, but it's unlikely that this kid is a master just yet.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 is a four-part episodic game, and each episode will contain Raid mode content and two full scenarios- one focusing on Claire and Moria, another on Barry and Natalia.

Barry and his little companion will have to contend with two new enemies- The Rotten, and The Revenant. The Rotten have bones that are visible through their bodies and an intense hunger for human flesh, while the Revenant are formed from parts of human beings sewn together, so expect this poor kid to have nightmares for the rest of her life.
