Big-name video games in the later part of this year have developed a concerning pattern of launch dysfunction, and it seems Little Big Planet 3 is continuing that trend.

As reported by Game Informer, many users are reporting a multitude of issues with the game via Reddit and Sony's official forums. The complaints appear to be quite varied, with players citing problems from level-specific bugs to game crashes on both PS4 and PS3.

One problem is with importing DLC from past Little Big Planet titles that are meant to be forward compatible. This issue is reported on the first page of the forum thread, and is one of many. There are level creation bugs, missing sound objects, and extreme lag with the 'Popit' feature. Sony seems to be aware of the problems, but several patches seem to be necessary and not yet issued given the array of bugs and glitches.

Sony's Driveclub is one of the most notable launch failures this year, with the online-only game simply not letting many players connect. The planned free version still has not launched as the developers attempt to address the internet issues, which are yet to be fully fixed for all users. A bug-filled release for Assassin's Creed Unity led to mixed reviews, while Halo: The Master Chief Collection is a very good game plagued by originally broken (now improved) matchmaking.
