Assassin's Creed Initiates Update: Ubisoft Enables Rogue Sync After Maintenance

Ubisoft Runs Maintenance On Assassin's Creed Initiates, Restoring Some Functions

The Assassin's Creed Initiates online service has been struggling with issues since the launch of this fall's two new games in the series, Assassin's Creed Unity and Rogue. Today, Ubisoft posted an update in the game's forums on the work that has been done with the service, including a list of features that should be back online for users.

According to Ubisoft's update, the big fix is that the Initiates platform should now be able to sync easier with a player's Assassin's Creed Legacy data. Player can earn Legacy points for playing previous games in the Assassin's Creed series and achieving certain amounts of synchronization within those games.

The comments in the Ubisoft forum thread seem divided on whether or not this fix worked. Some commenters can now see all of their Legacy data, while more commenters are still coming up empty.

Ubisoft's update also says that Initiates will now synchronize with Assassin's Creed Rogue, letting players of the franchise's final last-gen title cash in on some Legacy points. Previously, many users had complained that Rogue was having a difficult time syncing completely with Initiates. Hopefully, this latest work on Initiates has taken care of that issue.

Other than that, a few miscellaneous changes were made to the Initiates platform including better compatibility with Internet Explorer and better syncing with Ubisoft's own Uplay service.

Assassin's Creed Unity is now available on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Assassin's Creed Rogue is available for PS3 and Xbox 360, with a PC port confirmed for 2015.
