Super Stardust Ultra: Classic Shooter Is Getting a Sequel on PlayStation 4

Super Stardust Ultra To Come To PlayStation 4 in 2015

Fans of shooters rejoice! Super Stardust Ultra is coming to the PlayStation 4 in 2015. The critically acclaimed shooter will be expanding on the original game to create an even bigger more involved player experience as reported by PlayStation.

Dying Light Co-Op Mode Featured in New Gameplay

The first Super Stardust game was released way back in 2007 by Housmarque for the PlayStation 3. It was followed up by games for the PSP and PS Vita. The game is simple, if it moves, shoot it. If it doesn't move, shoot it anyway just to be sure.

You play a spaceship circling a planet like object that is being besieged by a legion of asteroids and space debris. Your job is to protect the planet by making sure none of that makes it to the surface. The more you destroy, the more insane the screen becomes. The point, aside from protect the base, is to get the high score.

Super Stardust Ultra adds new planets to save, better visuals, and nine game modes which are a mixture of old favorites and brand new adventures.

The game also incorporates the sharing online functions of the PlayStation 4 and allows players to send and receive challenges from friends as well as see how they stack up on the global leader boards. There's also a competitive mode for two to four players as well as a co-op mode if competition isn't really your bag.

There's no release date set for the game as of yet but this information is likely to be released soon. You can watch a review for Super Stardust Delta below for an idea of how the game plays.
