Game Of Thrones Season 5 Spoilers: Sand Snake Armor Courts Controversy Over Nipples

Sand Snake Armor Creates #Nipplegate On Game Of Thrones

Game of Thrones is set to return in the spring but we have the long days of winter to make it through before then. Lucky for us, we have photos to keep us updated on new faces and places for the coming seasons. Eagle eyed fans may have noticed a troubling accent to the Sand Snake armor: nipples.

In an interview with New York Magazine, costume designer Michele Clapton addresses the offending protrusions. First and foremost, not a trick of the light, she admits they are actually nipples but it wasn't her intent for them to be there.

Rush production mean that they didn't have time to sand the armor to its full extent meaning that the final product had, well, nipples.

No one likes to be compared to the most fail Batman moment of all time but I'm a little more upset that they have boob shaped breastplates. That doesn't seem very smart for a gang of killers since that shape is more likely to get you killed.

During the course of the interview, Clapton also revealed more information about the Sand Snakes who are the bastard daughters of Prince Oberon, famously killed last season by The Mountain.

The group are apparently like a girl band of death with similar matching outfits, each with accents befitting of their personalities and weapon choices. Their outfits are an effort to hail back to their father. What a sweet group of killers.

Also revealed is that Arya, everyone's favorite little murderer, will make her way into Braavos where she too will find her way into a few more costumes. This points to the fact that she'll be spending time with more than just assassins in the upcoming season.

Game of Thrones Season 5 will premiere on HBO in 2015.
