American Horror Story Spoilers: Neil Patrick Harris To Join Cast After Mid-Season Break

NPH Is Coming To American Horror Story

American Horror Story fans have a new famous face to look forward to after the mid-season break. Neil Patrick Harris will be joining the cast for episodes 11 and 12 of Freak Show. His husband, David Burtka will also make an appearance in episode 13.

American Horror Story: Freak Show Predictions for Mid-Season Finale

It has been known for a while that NPH would appear on the show, co-creator Ryan Murphy announced his involvement back in October. At that time there was no information regarding when or how he would make his appearance in the season as reported by Design and Trend.

Now we know that Harris will be playing a salesman for two episodes. His role will likely be rather substantial given that he's appearing for two episodes. Meanwhile, Burtka will be appearing in a more scandalous storyline opposite Jessica Lange's Elsa Mars.

Sister Mary Eunice Returns in Mid-Season Finale of Freak Show

If anyone thought that Ms. Mars wasn't going to make it to the end of the series, well, guess you were wrong. Although there's still time for her to die in episode 13.

Harris announced that he had finished up his time on set via twitter (honestly, is there any other way?) and hints that his role was pretty horrific. Of course, with American Horror Story this could mean buckets of blood or it could mean deep psychological horror that scars you for life. Really it could go either way. With the way the season is going though, it's probably a safe bet that someone gets murdered.

The couple was almost cast in the first season of AHS but Harris turned down the role that went to Zachary Quinto because it was too close to a role he had just played. It all worked out though, Quinto became a fan favorite and fans will still see Harris on the show. Better late than never.
