Edge of Reality has launched its free-to-play shooter Loadout on PS4 today, bringing the cartoony, gore-filled shooter to console for the first time.

For PlayStation Plus members, the PS4 launch comes with a free SuperFan Bonus Pack that includes some blue and white character paints to celebrate. The developers and some members of the PlayStation team will be hosting a 24-hour Twitch stream (embedded below) to entertain fans during the launch.
If you're not familiar with the game, you can see from the launch trailer that it does not take itself too seriously. Despite the ridiculous antics, Loadout's weapon crafting system is very deep and customizable--you really can make whatever type of weapon you'd like, and there's always incentive to collect more parts. You can style your character, as well, and the gameplay is fast-paced, high-action team combat. Comparisons to Team Fortress 2 are inevitable for the visuals and violence, though it does play quite differently.
