If You Love Steampunk And Can Draw, You Should Enter The Outcast Odyssey DeviantArt Contest: $1,200 Prize And Your Image In The Game

Attention artists! Bandai Namco wants you. The prolific games company has launched a new art contest on the internet’s largest collection of fan-fic drawings, Deviantart. They’re looking for three new cards for their CCG Outcast Odyssey. Care to try your hand?

The Card Master Challenge is currently live and runs until January 25. Bandai is challenging artists to create “original artwork to be adapted into a virtual card depicting a Steampunk Warrior, Wizard/Warlock or Dragon/Monster that belongs in the adventurous fantasy world of the Outcast Odyssey App/Game.” Let forth your imagination, as long as that imagination is at least 2000 pixels and does not include any licensed characters.

The top three entrants will work alongside the dev team at Bandai to perfect their new cards for inclusion into Outcast Odyssey. In addition to the lasting fame and exposure, the three lucky artists will also receive a check for $1,200 (that’s a commission!), a 128 gig iPad mini with Retina display, 8,000 Deviant art points and a 1 year premium membership to the site. Twenty two runners-up will get $200 along with 2,000 Deviantart points.

Bandai Namco has already hired two DeviantArt members, Warren Louw and Chuck Pires to help design cards for Outcast Odyssey. Who knows? Maybe you can be the next great success story to emerge from the art community.

“"After having already worked with DeviantArt in the past, we're excited to be collaborating with them again on this contest," said Shawnee Swarengn, Director of Marketing Mobile at Bandai Namco Games. "We're looking forward to tapping into DeviantArt's huge community of cutting-edge talent, and we're eager to continue working with indie artists on our future mobile projects.”
