Natsume community manager CeeCee released the company’s semi-monthly State of the Farm report on all things Natsume and Harvest Moon. The latest North American entry into the franchise, Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley, hit the Nintendo 3DS back in November and they’re already talking added content.

“We’ve [Natsume] been hard at work creating new content to add to the experience,” CeeCee stated, “we hope to begin rolling out the first DLC in January, and every month after that until April. While we’re not revealing what each will be quite yet, but there is a nice variety.”

Adding, somewhat ominously: “Don’t forget to ask Doc to build you a dresser soon.” New costumes and outfits for your villagers? I can’t imagine one would need a dresser to hold vegetables. Though stranger things have happened.

CeeCee also notes that the holiday fan art contest has been extended until January 31. People of all ages, but probably more aimed at younger fans, can submit their own artwork using characters and animals from Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley. Read the full list of rules and guidelines here. Prizes have not been revealed yet. Winners will be announced in March.

A big Q&A is also happening next month, so prepare your queries on social networking sites, as Natsume is going to try and answer them all.
