The weekend has arrived, meaning mysterious Destiny merchant Xur is back, as well. The vendor is the only one in the game to sell exotic weapons, and every week is different than the last.

This week, Xur is way down at the back of the Hangar area in the Tower, down every stair case you can take at the back of the last room. Xur is always in a new location from one week to the next, and his stock differs every time. He appears on Friday and departs overnight between Saturday and Sunday, offering one exotic armor item for each class, an exotic weapon, and an exotic engram to gamble on.

It's all about The Dark Below content this week, with every armor piece and the weapon coming from the game's expansion. Xur is selling the MK. 44 Stand Asides leg armor for Titans, the Don't Touch Me gauntlets for Hunters, and the Warlock chest piece Starfire Protocol. These will, as usual, cost you 13 Strange Coins. The exotic weapon this week is Dragon's Breath, a rocket launcher, priced at the standard 17 Strange Coins. You can also spend 18 Motes of Light on an exotic gauntlet engram, and 7 Strange Coins on an Exotic Shard.

Now that we're post-expansion, Xur has a selection of items to upgrade in addition to his normal wares--the new list you see in his inventory is not simply gear for sale. You need the original weapon or armor piece to trade in for an upgrade, an Exotic Shard, and some Glimmer--this is meant to keep original exotics gained before the expansion relevant and up to par with the new gear.

These are the items available for upgrade this week: Knucklehead Radar, Achlyophage Symbiote, Crest of Alpha Lupi, The Armamentarium, Apotheosis Veil, Hear of the Praxic Fire, The Last Word, Universal Remote, Pocket Infinity, Patience And Time, Thunderlord, and Gjallarhorn.
