New Dead Or Alive 5 Last Round Fight Video Shows Gen Fu And Eliot Squaring Off

The Master And The Student: Gen Fu And Eliot Square Off In New Dead Or Alive 5 Last Round Video

Team Ninja has released a new minute long video for the upcoming Dead or Alive 5: Last Round today.

Xbox One Costs $400 Again, Did The Sale Help?

Sorry, boys, but the menfolk take center stage this time as Gen Fu and Eliot pummel one another for about fifty seconds. The fight comes part of Team Ninja and Tecmo Koei’s slow roll out of new videos since Christmas, which have included the “titillating” Christie vs Sarah and the bizarrely sci-fi Phase 4 vs Bayman.

A mainstay in the DOA series, Gen Fu is described as “is an old mentor who was once considered to be a fighting legend.” He is also known as “that jerk old guy” that your one friend, who was unreasonably good at Dead Or Alive, always played because he’s really good at close quarter combat. Hate that guy.

Eliot is Gen Fu’s apprentice and a relative newcomer to the series, having debuted in DOA 4 back in 2005. One wonders if we are looking in on a sparring session, or the inevitable ‘the student must become the teacher’. His fighting style is described as simple, owing to the character’s immaturity, which means he is an ideal candidate for button-mashers everywhere.

Dead Or Alive 5: Last Round, which will hopefully be the actual last version of Dead Or Alive 5 which was released back in 2012, is out in North America on February 17. In addition to new and returning characters, all DLC from previous Dead Or Alive 5 releases will be compatible. Players who own DOA 5 can update to Last Round should they so choose.

You can also purchased either the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version (as both digital and retail) for $39.99. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions will be digital download only, priced at $29.99.

Watch Gen Fu and Eliot go toe-to-toe.
