Archer comes back for season 6 tonight. If you can't wait to find out what happens in the coming season, we've got some spoilers below.
Archer Is The New Black, Tactical Black
The Daily Beast interviewed writer/creator of the show, Adam Reed to get some insight on what was coming in the new season that allegedly pretend the last cocaine smuggling, country music throw down just hadn't happened. But how?
Turns out the answer was in front of us the whole time. As Reed points out, Archer runs away from home between every season. This creates a time jump naturally so they just went with that. Reed sums it up as, "Then, in a quick way we were able to disgorge a bunch of in-between season backstory all at once, and then get Archer on the phone and set things in motion."
We Will Finally Meet Lana's Family In New Season of Archer
In tonight's episode, Archer will actually be teaming up with a Japanese WWII soldier. According to Reed, the whole thing is actually a homage to an episode of Six Million Dollar Man. This sort of thing is nothing new, fans of the show likely recognize subtle and not so subtle references to other shows all the time.
Later in the season, we'll meet Lana's family as well as some of Pam's. We'll also get to see how Cyril is handling Lana having Archer's baby (hint, not so great) but we won't find out about whether or not Kreiger is a clone. Well, the clone they originally had anyway.
