Dead Or Alive Last Round New Character Revealed: Introducing Honoka The Schoolgirl, 'Super Secret Fighter Chick' [VIDEO]

Dead Or Alive 5 Last Round Doing What It Does: Introducing Honoka, The Super Secret Fighter Chick

In news that should shock nobody, Dead or Alive is doing what Dead or Alive does best: creating mildly regressive characters. At least Team Ninja isn't being coy about it. Please welcome the newest challenger for the upcoming Dead or Alive 5 Last Round, Honoka.

Nintendo Direct Recap! New Nintendo 3DS XL, Zelda, Amiibos And More!

Described in her debut video as 'Super Secret Fighter Chick', Honoka is described as a "a sweet, easygoing kind of girl... but when she sees a fight, she cannot contain her excitement, or the mysterious power surging within her." She has the unique ability - colloquially known as 'muscle mimicry' - to learn any move she sees and has created her own fighting style that she calls Honoka Fu. Granted, mimicry is not mastery and while she may be able to learn the moves of other fighters, they will not always pack the same amount of power. She is a teenage girl, after all.,

Naturally, she will come with several costume changes and hairstyles because the Japanese schoolgirl thing is very overplayed at this point. Girl's gotta have options.

The video shows Honoka utilizing her Hissatsu-no-Kamae stance on Brad Wong, Rachel and Leifang, while teaming up with other spunky girl, Raidou. Now that's a tag team everyone can support.

Dead or Alive 5 Last Round is out here in the States on February 17, 2015 for digital download on Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360 and PS3. A physical disc will also be available for Xbox One, PS4 and PS3. Players can get a taste of what's to come with Dead Or Alive 5 Core Fighters, a demo version available for both Xbox One and PS4 and featuring in-app purchases and downloads (depending on your system).

Check out Honoka below.
