Mortal Kombat X Character Roster Expands With Reptile, Officially Confirmed With Gameplay Video [FIRST SCREEN, TRAILER]
In a move that surprises no one, NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros have confirmed everyone's favorite green-suited badass, Reptile, for the upcoming Mortal Kombat X.
He bites, he spits, he vomits, and his tongue is unusually long and freakishly sturdy, as the newly released video below shows. We also get a look at his invisibility and x-ray mode. How Kung Lao survives having his eyes crushed and skull cracked is anyone's guess. Well, I suppose he doesn't, as Reptile is quick to begin his fatality shortly thereafter.
It's just good clean American fun, as only Mortal Kombat can be.
Reptile is the fourteenth confirmed roster member to Mortal Kombat X. The full list of characters thus far is as follows: Goro, Kano, Kitana, Quan Chi, Raiden, Reptile, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Cassie Cage (Jonny and Sonya's daughter), D'Vorah, Ferra/Torr, Kotal Kahn and Kung Lao.
Mortal Kombat X is due out on April 14 for PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 and PS3. The game will pick up shortly after the events of Mortal Kombat, the reboot released back in 2011. It will then jump 25 years into the future, which is why the offspring of various fighters are featured and the classic characters are a little gray around the edges.
Reptile, though...he probably doesn't age. Or if he does, it's hard to know exactly how. He certainly seems fit and limber in the new trailer, tossing out poison bombs and lashing out with the best of them. Age has not slowed him down, nor has it dulled his teeth. Watch below.
