American Horror Story Season 5 News: Long Time Cast Members May See Less Screen Time

Old Faces May Disappear From American Horror Story

American Horror Story is definitely coming back next season- this has been confirmed by Ryan Murphy. But there are three long time faces that will be appearing less and in one case, maybe not at all.

The Future Of American Horror Story May Have Been Revealed In The Last Episode Of Freak Show

Jessica Lange had previously been reported as saying that Freak Show would be her last season. The last episode of the season was so obviously a sendoff to the iconic actress that it's clear that this was most certainly the case at the time of filming.

However in later interviews, she seemed to flip flop on that choice stating that if the story was compelling enough, she would be back. Really it all depends on what Murphy cooked up. This is still up in the air so she may not be back at all but if she does return, it will be in a much lesser role than we're used to seeing her.

American Horror Story Won't Be Going To Space For Season Five

Sarah Paulson who has appeared in all seasons will also be in a smaller role for the upcoming season of American Horror Story due to the fact that she has taken a part in the show American Crime Story which is a sort of sister show to AHS.

Emma Roberts, who hasn't been on the series nearly as long, showing up in just the last two seasons, will also be taking a step back due to her casting in Scream Queens.

This actually could mean very good things for the show. With standout actors taking a step back, it could mean that the show would return to the more anthology feel that it had in the first two seasons rather than the one story track that second two seasons had.

American Horror Story is on hiatus until it returns for season five.
