Daedalic Entertainment has released a new video for Blackguards 2 that gives players a better look at some of the monsters you can find whilst travelling Aventuria.

Marwan has a deep bench in terms of enemies he can toss at you and your merry band of misfits. One such sub-section of heavy hitters are the Chimerologists, four...twisted individuals who play god with the various genes of species, creating hulking cross-breeds that even nature abhors.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 Gets A New, Absurd Trailer

Tikatus creates the wretched Leapers, an undead amalgamation of flesh, skeleton and other body parts that absolutely loves to attack large, tightly clustered groups. Try not to get cornered and always be on the move when engaging this hulking monstrosity.

A man named Adamant, however, took his conjuring in a different direction and summoned forth the Sand Ghosts, wispy, shifty creatures made of sand and magic. The wily villains can not only do massive damage via their AOE sandstorm attack, but can also swallow whole units, effectively removing them from combat until the unit dies, or it does. Thankfully, they are weak against magic, so be sure to bring it whenever these elusive wanderers appear on the battlefield.

A witch named Shena Al Shena creates what I referred to in my notes as "humanoid insect bastards". The result is a sometimes intelligent, sometimes capable of flight four armed monstrosity that's carrying far too many longswords for anyone's good. They also come with bows and daggers, and some can wield magic while the flying units are noted for their selerity. Attacking with stab, which ignores their chitinous armor is a good method of swatting them down.

Finally, the enigmatic mage known only as The Druid creates the Jasperwood, a horrid mix of tree, animal and metal that lumbers too and fro across the battlefield, bashing in anything that ranges close to it. Plus, there are BEES. Kill it. Kill it with fire.

Or, should you not wish to destroy these poor damned creations, you can also find the Hell Organ. Due to the nature of the chimeras, these organs are the only thing they obey and if you find the right song, not only do you not have to engage the enemy units, but you can also control them yourself.
