Homeworld Remastered is set to launch later this month, bringing modern versions of the beloved space strategy titles to fans. The developers have given their thoughts on the game and what makes it so special in a new making of video, which you can watch below.

Members of the team at Gearbox, including studio boss Randy Pitchford, provide insight into the original games, as do members of Balckbird Interactive. Blackbird is made up of several members of the original Homeworld team, and has the rights to use the Homeworld franchise for its own original game.
The behind the scenes video is just under four minutes long, and contains gameplay footage to go alongside the commentary. The visual upgrades over the original games are obvious, and should really excite fans of the original. For those who haven't played before, it still looks like a great space sim, and it's hard to deny the pedigree.

Homeworld Remastered will release for PC on February 25. It contains HD versions of Homeworld 1 and Homeworld 2, with advanced options like 4K resolutions and a multiplayer mode that combines both games seamlessly.
