Warhammer News: The Horus Heresey Drop Assault Now Available On Android Devices
Android users who are also Warhammer fans - a Venn diagram I would honestly be interested in seeing - you are in luck. The latest Warhammer 40,000 adaptation, The Horus Heresy: Drop Assault, is now available on Android devices.
The game is a free to play strategy title similar to Clash of Clans and Boom Beach. Build up your base (quickly at first), attack enemy encampments, then get impatient waiting for the timelock to finish, so you end up buying extra gems to pay for everything.
The Horus Heresy: Drop Assault invites players to choose a side in the intense civil war that erupted amongst the Emperor's Space Marine Legions in the 30th Millennium. After one of the Emperor's beloved generals - and sons - betrays him by destroying a planet, it's do or die time for both sides in one of the defining chapters in the long, long history of Warhammer.
The Ios version launched on January 15 and, despite it's F2P features, is quite fun. If you're going to imitate, at least imitate from the best, but with enough changes and flourishes to make it something a little different.
"Android-wielding Horus Heresy fans have been asking for the Google Play version ever since we launched on iOS. For the longest time we've only been able to say "we're working on it, it's coming soon", I'm finally happy to announce that the moment is here: "It's out!".said Noah Decter-Jackson, CEO of Complex Games.
You can head over to the official Android page to take up arms, and be sure to watch the new trailer below.
