Plants Vs Zombies 2 has been doing an incredible job of providing its many fans with constant free updateas, and the latest has now gone live. Frostbite Caves Part 2 is available, and offers 16 more levels to defend against the zombie invasion.

On the EA blog Art Director Liam Robinson participated in an interview to talk about some of the new zombies and plants you'll encounter.

First we have some zombies. The Weasel Hoarder does exactly that, and enters the stage wearing a hollowed-out log with three weasels squirming around inside them. Besides making her feel funny, that log is the only thing keeping those crazy weasels already from you. Robinson recommends using Lightning Reeds to face this new menace.

There is also the Troglobite, an ice zombie who pushes blocks of ice that squish your plants.

On the plant side of things there are three new options.

First up are Fire Peashooters, which do exactly what they sound like they do.

There's also Stunion, who can stun zombies with his terribler breath.

Then there's Rotobaga, a "cute little 'copter that can shoot diagonally." She can be planted right on top of water- no lily pad required- since she hovers in the air,

There will be some new challenges to face, so you might want to stock up on some new plants.

"Well, we have a whole new Dr. Zomboss fight in store for the players," says Hamilton. "He's going to be heavy on the defenses, so get ready to break through his glacial walls."
