New Alien Isolation DLC 'The Trigger' Available Now, Fifth Pack Promises To Be The Most Terrifying Yet [VIDEO]

The Fifth Alien: Isolation DLC Available Now; The Trigger Promises To Be The Most Terrifying Adventure Yet

Sega has released the fifth DLC pack for Alien: Isolation today for all platforms.

There Are Some Big Games This Week, But Give Us The Smaller, Quiter Ones Any Day

Titled 'The Trigger', the new pack promises to be the most terrifying expansion yet. A high bar, considering the sheer amount of terror the game has provoked in the months since its release. Players will compete against the clock in three new Survivor mode maps.

The DLC takes place before the events of the game, The Trigger follows the station's deputy Marshall, Ricardo, as he and Marshall Waits attempt to destroy the creature before it destroys everyone on board.

A Plague Upon You! New Shovel Knight DLC Coming Soon

"In a desperate attempt to locate a lost package of explosives from a missing colleague, you will have to secure Prisoner Processing and escape what's hunting you. Only then will you have that chance of finding the explosives and blasting the creature into the dark of space."

Needless to say, I don't think things go so well. After all, it's not like the creature is gone when the events of the game begin. What must happen up there? Guess there's only one way to find out.

The Trigger is available now for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC here in North America. European PlayStation folks can try their luck tomorrow.

Sega has also begun a new Community Challenge. "We're looking for the highest scoring play-throughs on 'The Package' level (one of the three new maps) and we want all those who think they've got those final points, those winning numbers to share their play-through videos with us."

Even the developers chatting away can't help this game from being terrifying. Check out The Trigger below.
