Infinite Crisis Developer Announces 'Batman: Arkham Underworld' And Untitled Game Of Thrones Mobile Titles

WB Unveils New Mobile Game Plan, Reveals New Batman And Game Of Thrones Titles To Be Developed By Turbine

Boston based developer Turbine, best known for developing Lord of the Rings Online, Asheron's Call and the DC based MOBA Infinite Crisis, will be developing mobile games for two of the world's most popular licenses: Batman and Game of Thrones.

Unfortunately, they aren't combining the two (we're pretty sure, at least). Today, Warner Bros announced their new slate of licensing tie-ins for several of their properties (most of which involved Batman) on the docket was the new Batman: Arkham Underworld and an untitled Game of Thrones project.

Details are scant on both. In Arkham Underworld players take on the role of one of the many famous villains of Batman's rogue's gallery. "Build your hideout, then recruit and train an army of henchmen to do your bidding. Command iconic super-villains from the Batman: Arkham universe, including the Riddler, Harley Quinn and Killer Croc, to become Gotham City's next criminal kingpin."

You can sign up for the beta HERE, though it gives no further details as to what, exactly, you're signing into.

The Game of Thrones title is even more mysterious. "Conquer Westeros in an epic combat strategy game based on the hit television series from HBO. Prove the wit of your spies and the might of your forces on the battlefield as you extend your dominance across the seven Kingdoms. Join an alliance, rise to power, and then try to take the Iron Throne if you dare!"

I so hope they're adapting the Game of Thrones board game. Please, please, please.

In addition to the two games from Turbine, WB Games San Francisco is also developing DC Comics Legends. "Gamers will grow their collection of legendary DC Comics super heroes and villains, customizing super teams with the right heroes for each encounter in this mobile RPG."

Despite being three quarters of a century old, Batman shows no sign of slowing down.
