Face The Unending Wrath Of The Vermintide In New GDC Gameplay Footage

The Warhammer license sure knows how to get around. There are MOBAs, chess games, traditional turn based titles, platformers, you name it, it's probably a thing. One to keep an eye on is Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide, a new co-op action game from developer Fat Shark.

Warhammer: Dark Nexus Arena MOBA Title Announced

The company just released a first look at the about of minute of pre-alpha gameplay footage at GDC the other day and it is wonderfully violent, and seems like it is on the right track.

Vermintide is a four play co-op FPS that is reminiscent of Left 4 Dead. Your team heads out into the ruined city of Ubersreik and dispatch with the legion of Skaven, the franchise's 'rat men' that have overrun the town.

Surprise! Five Nights At Freddy's 3 Lands On Steam Without Word Or Warning

Ohhhh...they're a giant wave of rats. Vermin. Tide. I get it now.

Submitted for your approval, the most Warhammer thing ever written (from the YouTube link): "The time of mortals is ending, and the reign of Chaos draws ever closer. The Dark Gods are at last united in a singular purpose, loosing their madness across the world as never before. In the Empire of Sigmar, Karl Franz's gaze is focused on the incursion of the savage northmen, but it is not the only threat. As the Chaos moon Morrslieb waxes full, shrill voices echo through tunnels gnawed far beneath the Empire's cities, and a Skaven host swarms towards the surface. It emerges first in the city of Ubersreik, a screeching mass that consumes all before it. Soon Ubersreik is a charnel-town, drowning beneath the malevolent shadow of the Horned Rat."

Should've sent a poet. Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide is out later this year on PC, Xbox One and PS4. Watch the footage below, and be sure to head over to the site and sign up for the beta today!
