Life Is Strange Episode 2 Release Date Announced: 'Out Of Time' Hits Next Week On All Platforms

Life Is Strange Episode 2 'Out Of Time' Releases Next Week On All Platforms

The second episode to Dontnod's new serial adventure game Life Is Strange will hit all systems next week, on March 24.

The Week In Games, March 16: Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, Battlefield Hardline And More

The announcement came as part of EGX Rezzed this past weekend. Dontnod confirmed the date via Twitter on Saturday.

No word why episode two, titled 'Out of Time' was delayed past its initial release date of March 13. But such things are standard in the industry, so it should not raise too many heads. All versions - PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 - will launch on the same day, so no need to bust out the Excel sheets like last time.

Endless Warhammer, Part Two: Our Guide To All Upcoming Game Adaptations

In this day and age of Netflix marathons and binge-watching, the wait for episode two has been a long one. The first episode 'Chrysalis' left us at somewhat of a cliffhanger - an emotional and actual one - and to have to wait so long to see what happens next seems anathema to the world we live in. Dontnod and Square Enix seem unconcerned; a refreshing change of pace.

Life Is Strange follows the life of Max Caulfield, an American girl (who just so happens to share the same last name as one of the other all-time great American characters, Holden) as she navigates the perilous paths of high school, imbued with a special gift: the ability to turn back time. The game is less concerned with action than it is with reaction, and more importantly: the consequences of choice. There are no right and wrong decisions to make, only consequences to endure.

We love the world the first episode has set for us, read our review here, and get ready: Things are going to get even stranger next week.
