Because a main antagonist with a cybernetic eye who can steal the elemental powers of various ninja and samurai isn't intimidating enough, Ronin is now getting an assist from Spinjitzu master Chen, the Nindroid robot General Cryptor; Skales, the leader of the Serpentine tribe and everyone's favorite, Frakjaw.

LEGO Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin hits the PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS on March 27. In the game "players will take on the role of their favourite Ninja warriors and use an array of exciting new vehicles, mechs and dragons to battle their way through the Ninjago universe. A new enemy named Ronin enters the game and has the ability to steal the memories of Ninja warriors by using the Obsidian Glaive weapon. Players must locate all new weapons and retrieve their powers before Ronin succeeds in completing his evil plans.

The only question remains: is the redfaced samurai a different variant of Ronin, or is it of the potential big baddie, Morro?

Ninjago is a major theme established in 2011 by LEGO. Players get to learn the fragile, but powerful art of Spinjitzu, which utilizes its own analog and digital based battle system, of which Shadow of Ronin takes inspiration from. In addition to the toys themselves, LEGO has developed a television show that has run for four seasons, with plans for a film in 2016 and a sequel in 2018. Season five of the show will heavily feature Ronin as a character - though if he truly is an antagonist or will end up aiding the main heroes, we do not know.

Season five launches this summer, but you can play the backstory in two weeks.
