Halo 5 'Hunt The Truth' Campaign Reveals Website With Fictional War Reporter Profiling Master Chief, First Audio Log Released

A vague Halo 5: Guardians trailer was released earlier this week, hinting at plot details with a bullet that reads "traitor" being fired into the mask of a Spartan. A new Tumblr page was also posted, telling us to "hunt the truth" and bearing a countdown, which has just ticked to zero.

When time ran out, the Hunt The Truth site refreshed with a profile of a fictional war reporter named Benjamin Giraud, who ends up profiling Master Chief. In this way we'll no doubt be learning more about the series protagonist, and the events leading up to and surrounding the events of Halo 5. Here's Giraud's bio on the site:

"For decades, I've served the galaxy as an investigative reporter and war photographer. Working primarily in public radio, I've covered human interest stories on Earth and in the Inner and Outer Colonies. I've also contracted for UNSC, covering governmental and military affairs. I was at New Mombasa when the Master Chief first appeared to combat the Covenant attack."

The page now has an audio file to listen to, the first in a series of such logs that will peel back the story. He will of course be seeking to "hunt the truth" as we were teased with in the original version of the site and short video. You can listen to the audio log in the embedded file below.
