Vault Hunters, the time is now. So lock, load, polish up the armor and head out. Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is out on next gen consoles today and as always, the guys over at Gearbox have brought a shiny new trailer for the waiting masses.

The Week In Games! Bloodborne, Life Is Strange Headline A Strong Roster Of Titles

Despite the high def makeover of the game - which features both Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! - the trailer is so wonderfully 90s. No need to be 'serious' or 'dramatic'. Back in the 90s you could have the game interacting with you in the most over-the-top and absurd ways. Lasers shooting out of the screen! Ice blasts! The characters from the game transporting over and playing the game with you. The stocks were high, freedom was uninterrupted and video games were still fun.

For just $59.99, you can get both games and all the add-on content released up to this point, including Claptapstic Voyage, the new Claptrap-centric DLC that hits today for The Pre-Sequel. We're not saying you should pat yourself on the back for waiting - but you should really pat yourself on the back.

However, even if you did not wait and bought the games and all the DLC when they first hit, you're in luck: you can transfer all of your old save files from the last gen to the next gen. So you don't even have to miss a beat.

As good as the cel-shading looked on the Xbox 360 and PS3, such a design choice looks aces on their next gen progeny. Pick up The Handsome Collection today, and if you're really rich and/or lucky, you can also grab yourself a fully functioning Claptrap robot. Oh yeah, he's real.
