GTA Online Duke O' Death Exploit Fixed, Rockstar Now Blows Up Players Who Try To Use The Super Car [VIDEO]

Rockstar Now Blows Up Players Who Try To Use The Duke O Death Exploit In GTA Online

Developers policing their own games for exploits and cheaters is a difficult task, but we've seen some creative approaches over the years. Rockstar has taken its own very amusing twist on punishing GTA Online players who have been cheating the system.

Players With An Illegal Copy Of The Talos Principle Get Stuck In Inescapable Elevator

As reported by Kotaku, Rockstar has begun blowing up players' cars when they are found to take advantage of a glitch that allows a super vehicle from singleplayer into the multiplayer servers.

The Duke O' Death is a bonus car that players received for upgrading from the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 version of the game to PS4 or Xbox One. It's very fast, extremely durable, and is more powerful than the other cars you can find online. An exploit allows players to bring the car into GTA Online, where it bestows a huge advantage.

Rockstar could have just patched the exploit, making it impossible to take the Duke O' Death into multiplayer. Instead, the developers have made it so that the moment you attempt to get into the vehicle, it instantly explodes. There's no escape, and players will only be able stare at their prized possession. Well played, Rockstar.

Of course, this is leading people to leave the car on the side of the road and watch as unaware players climb in, only to explode. At the end of the day, trolls will troll.
