'Dark Souls 2 Scholar Of The First Sin' Details And Price: Upgraded Edition Out Now On PS4, Xbox One, And Last Gen Systems
Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin is now available for all platforms.
The improved version of Dark Souls II adds new items as well as redesigned enemy placement, maps, and gameplay. It also includes all three DLC releases, bundled together into the cost of the whole game. The PS4, Xbox One, and DirectX 11 PC edition boasts additional gameplay and visual improvements.
This is the first time the game is launching on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while the existing versions can be upgraded to the new game. The original game on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC can updated to Scholar of the First Sin--upgrading from an existing version is cheaper.
The prices are as follows for each:
- Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin (DirectX9): $39.99
- Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin (DirectX11): $49.99
- DirectX11 Upgrade price for existing owners of Dark Souls II on Steam: $29.99
- DirectX11 Upgrade price for existing owners of Dark Souls II and all DLC on Steam: $19.99
The Crown of the Sunken King, Crown of the Old Iron King, and Crown of the Ivory King DLC are all included in every version. The PS4, Xbox One, and DirectX 11-supported PC version will be getting visual and performance improvements, as well as the new Forlorn invader and increased online multiplayer count. This is meant to be the definitive version of the game, perfect for newcomers.
