Grand Theft Auto 5 PC Video Editor Announced, Lets You Alter Game Clips And Direct Your Own Films

Rockstar Announces Video Editor For GTA 5 On PC, Lets You Alter Game Clips And Direct Your Own Films

The Grand Theft Auto franchise has long been the platform for ridiculous, amusing, or impressive gaming clips. Rockstar has announced that it's making video production easier than ever with an editor for the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V.

The video editor boasts special camera modes, filters, depth of field and audio customization options. You can see it in action in the video below, which shows off these features and demonstrates what sort of creativity you can unleash.

There's a special Director Mode, as well, that encourages players to make their own little films--not just gameplay clips. You can stage sequences from a cast of characters from Story mode, as well as animals and generic pedestrians. Naturally, you'll be able to upload your creations to YouTube and Rockstar Social.

The video editor will be available in the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V from launch. The title releases tomorrow after a series of delays, bringing the same features as the upgraded PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. These include updates visuals and the first person mode, as well as PC exclusive functions like the new video editor and mod support. User modifications made to past titles in the series on PC have served as some of the best experiences with the game, and things only stand to get more impressive this time around.
