The release of Halo 5: Guardians is still a good way off, but that hasn't stopped the announcement of pre-order goodies that you can buy now.

Star Wars Battlefront Details--Including Release Date, Games Modes, And More--Revealed

Gamestop announced an exclusive bonus for Halo 5 multiplayer, yours if you pre-order the title due to release on October 27. If you pre-order the game through Gamestop, you'll receive special Spartan Locke Hunter class armor for multiplayer, which you can see in the trailer below.

Details For The Next Mass Effect Game Leaked Through Online Survey

The footage is not gameplay, so there's no telling if that's exactly what your bonus content will look like. Here's the retailer's exact description of what you'd get:

- HUNTER-Class Armor: Sophisticated and lethal, HUNTER-class armor incorporates Watershed Division's latest warfighting technology.

- HUNTER-Class Helmet: Though still considered a prototype implementation, the HUNTER's sensor suite enhances situational and threat awareness.

Whether these bring real gameplay advantages or if it's just aesthetic technical speak is unclear, but those are the items you'd be gifted for online play. The bonus only applies to Gamestops in the U.S.--sorry foreign fans!

As always, caution is suggested regarding any pre-orders, as there's no assurances the game will satisfy what you were hoping for--or even work properly in the current market. People have been burned before, so think twice about jumping in. For those who will do so regardless, there's your bonus content!

Spartan Locke is the elite manhunter who appears in the Halo Nightfall series and will play a part in the Halo 5 story. You can see him involved in both of the Halo 5 trailers, where he confronts (and alternatively, is confronted by) Master Chief.
