Marvel And Telltale Games Announce Partnership For New Interactive Story Game Set For Release In 2017

The Best Superhero Team Up: Marvel And Telltale Announce New Story Game Project For 2017

We are fast approaching the Marvel Singularity, in which all entertainment will, in some way, be connected to the world of Marvel comics. The company has released Avengers: Age of Ultron in Europe today, and that film will pretty much make more money than several small countries. Additionally, they've added Age of Ultron updates to many of their F2P titles, and now they've announced what could be their coup de grace.

Marvel Puzzle Quest Gets An Ultron Sized Update

Marvel, meet Telltale. Telltale, Marvel. I am sure you will get along splendidly. Yesterday evening, Marvel announced a new partnership with Telltale Games, which looks to release a new game in 2017.

And that's all we know. Neither company gives any hints as to who or what the subject may be about - personally, I'm hoping for Great Lakes Avengers - but given both of the company's track records, especially Telltale's, this is news worth getting excited over. Right now, they can make a new game about literally everything, and who is to stop your imagination?

Seriously, Why Is Not Just called Total Warhammer?!

Telltale Games has nearly single-handedly revived the point and click adventure genre, with tie-ins to popular television series The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones. They also have experience with adapting comic books already, having released the incredible The Wolf Among Us, based on Bill Willingham's Eisner award winning series, Fables.

2017 is a big year for Marvel already. A new Spider-man will swing onto the big screens and begin acclimating himself to the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe in his own standalone film, after an appearance in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War film. 2017 will also mark the release of Thor: Ragnarok and Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

So it could be a tie-in game, perhaps even helping to flesh out Spidey's origin because nobody wants to see that on the big screen again, or it can be something else. Anything else!

Either way, we're looking forward to it immensely.
