iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus & iPhone 7 Pro Specs: How New Apple Smartphones Might Differ; Release Date, Price, Specs & Features [Rumors]

The alleged iPhone 7 and its purported variations continue to make rounds in the Internet grapevine. At this point, followers would know that there are three supposed models that carry the number: the standard flagship, the iPhone 7 Plus and the iPhone 7 Pro.

As per MacRumors, the next-generation iPhone will remain closeted until fall. This is not surprising, as previous iterations have been revealed on such time of the year. To be specific, September is the month to look at.

Let's take a look at how the three reported models could be bringing it on.

iPhone 7

The standard flagship is believed to sport a 4.7-inch display that supports a resolution of 1334×750 pixels at 326 ppi, Neurogadget says. This screen is allegedly protected by an ion-strengthened glass, one that will also likely be water-resistant.

Under the hood, the iPhone 7 is touted to pack an A10 processor and 2GB of RAM. Internal storage variants of 16GB, 64GB and 128GB are also expected. A regular-lens camera is likewise predicted.

iPhone 7 Plus

The larger model's display could be stretched to 5.7 inches, the PCAdvisor predicts, though Apple might work on increasing screen-to-body ratio. This means the iPhone 7 Plus may feature an edge-to-edge screen, similar to Samsung's Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.

Inside, the device is pegged to house an A10 chip and 3GB of RAM, with a maximum internal storage option of 256GB.

iPhone 7 Pro

If the MacBook Pro is the MacBook's performance version, the alleged iPhone 7 Pro will be for the iPhone 7. As cited by 9to5Mac, the device is said to measure the "same overall size" as the iPhone 6s Plus, featuring dual iSight rear cameras. In addition, the handset is believed to be thicker by 0.2mm than the iPhone 6 Plus, which comes at a depth of 7.1mm.

The dual-camera set-up, ValueWalk points, is reportedly absent in the standard and Plus versions. Still, it could be possible that the iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 Pro are actually the same device.

The iPhone 7 is expected to cost similar to the iPhone 6s, while it may be safe to say that the Plus and/or Pro models could sell higher. ValueWalk sees an $850 tag for the latter, though without official word from Apple, these are to be taken with caution.
