'Street Fighter V' Latest News & Update: Capcom Apologizes For Game's Lack Of Content And Server Issues

After spending several months of apologizing for "Street Fighter V," Capcom has finally admitted that the game could have used a little more time in the oven. And as a result, Capcom is going to change its entire development strategy to make sure its games are more finish.

Speaking with the company's investors, Capcom's CEO Kenzo Tsujimoto said that the company's revenue suffered because they didn't give "Street Fighter V" the attention it needed before the game launched, as reported by N3rdabl3.

“Some aspects of "Street Fighter V" needed more polish, such as the lack of content and server issues at launch,” Tsujimoto admitted. “Accordingly, we feel it’s better to give a little more time to development than before, and have made slight adjustments to our portfolio.”

“Profits may take one or two years longer to stack up than initially expected, however we will be firmly strengthening our brands," he added. "That being said, even looking at Capcom’s growth exclusively, we expect at the very least growth in excess of 10% to continue.”

According to Game Spot, "Street Fighter V" severely underperformed for Capcom's financial productions selling just 1.4 million copies, well shy of the two million they had expected by this time.

Street Fighter 5 launched a ton of connectivity issues, the fans are having all sorts of problems connection to matchmaking. It got so bad that Capcom had to run a special Twitter account just to keep fans updated when they could and couldn't play.

Capcom apologizing for its total gaming failures like "Street Fighter V" is absolutely nothing new. In fact, a quick Google search of "Capcom Apologizes" reveals quite a number of things they've had to apologize for in the last few years alone.

In addition to apologizing for "Street Fighter V" post-launch, Capcom did a bit of a pre-launch apology when the game's beta had to be taken offline indefinitely when it basically died on the runway.
