'The Witcher 3' Blood And Wine DLC Adds 90 Quests, 20 New Monsters

The new expansion The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine, was released on May 31. The new DLC featured 90 new quests, 20 new monsters and a wide array of adjustments.

CD Projekt Red released The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine, the last expansion content that the game developer previously announced, which will provide about 30 more hours of gameplay.

The new city in The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine is Toussaint, where players can enjoy 90 new quests, 20 new monsters to battle, 40 new points of interest, 30 new weapons and 100 individual armor pieces.

A new patch was also released on May 30, 2016, which provided an enemy upscaling option as well as a more efficient system that makes it more convenient for players to gather Gwent cards. The patch also offered several bug fixes. The Witcher: Blood and Wine is available at $20, but is included in the DLC pass, which costs $25.

According to Forbes, players who already made progress in the main quest will most likely choose the continue option, so they can use their old character to explore new content. However, players have to go through the “Poet” mission and reach level 34 to be strong enough to battle new monsters. Players can also opt for “fresh start,” which will let them play a new character and explore new content. The third option lets players go straight to Toussaint using a level 34 character provided by the game and take on a new quest immediately.

Kotaku noted that some of the good features in The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine include the sign mutations, new systems and home ownership. Many elements are fun to use and explore, although not game-changing. The latest expansion is not Geralt’s best adventure, but the main story and supporting cast are great.

GameSpot reported that overall, The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine is a great expansion. If it is the final appearance of White Wolf, the content allows him to leave in style.

Fans should not expect a new Witcher title to arrive for a while. They are encouraged to enjoy their additional 30 hours of gameplay on The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine, and bid Geralt and Roach farewell for the last time.

More updates and details on The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine expansion pack are expected soon. The game is playable on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
