‘Black Panter’ Movie Latest Rumors, Release Date, Cast & News: Michael B. Jordan Confirms Inclusion

“Captain America: Civil War” continues to rack in the revenue from its box-office success and many are at the edge of their seats on what will happen next. “Black Panther” (Chadwick Boseman) made an impact in the film and gets the chance to go solo in 2018.

Aside from Boseman, it has yet to be revealed who will join him on “Black Panther”. Two names have been so far been linked – Michael B. Jordan and Lupita Nyong’o – though nothing has been made official.

However, Jordan may have just spilled the beans a bit by saying via The Hollywood Reporter that he and Nyong’o will be on board the flick that will be directed by Ryan Coogler.

“I’m super excited, especially to put a different spin on it. I’m looking forward to working with Ryan [Coogler] once again. It’s gonna be a good time.”

Though that could be big news, the fact of the matter is that it is not official at least for now. Jordan worked with Coogler on “Creed” so that could point the actor’s inclusion as imminent.

But the next question now is what role will Jordan have? That is the part that has yet to be disclosed and may likely be kept under wraps for now.

For those who are unaware, this will not be the first time that Jordan will be cast on a Marvel film. He played the “Human Torch” in the floundering “Fantastic Four” film which hit screens in 2015. Could he be re-cast as “Johnny Storm”?

The setting of “Black Panther” will be in the fictional nation of “Wakanda”, and rumors are claiming that Jordan will be taking up a villain role.

For now, it may be too early to tell. Jordan has sprung a leak but more are likely in store. “Black Panther” hits the big screen on February 16, 2018 which will most likely have some tied with the “Avengers: Infinity War Part 1” slated for release on May 4, 2018.
